Believe

When we tell our story we begin to see how connected we are to everyone and to all things. That is when the magic begins to be woven into the story and we can see how powerful we are. We are not here alone. Once we activate this incredible network we are a part of absolutely anything is possible.

Try it!  All we need to do is BELIEVE!

Till soon ,my dears.

New Life

I took this picture two years ago while on a walk to expand and be come one with nature. It was part of a workshop of invited coaches in western Pennsylvania.
This nest was about the size of a golf ball in a bunch of reeds along the side of the road .
I was standing "in the moment "and turning 360 degrees to become aware of what was surrounding me when this dark "spot" caught my eye. As I walked closer it became obvious that this was a tiny little nest . It appeared to be floating. Moving in the wind with the reeds, As I reached for my camera and touched the zoom lens I was in awe. The nest was much larger than the reeds it was resting on, but did not become dislodged when the wind blew. What type of bird built this nest? It was perfectly camouflaged. It had to be very tiny, like a humming bird and the eggs were  the size of pencil eraser or smaller . I did not wish to disturb the nest so I took several pictures and slowly retraced my steps back onto the road. Still in amazement at what I had seen  there was a noise of something that sounded like stomping on the gravel behind me. As I turned slightly to my left  to see what it was, I was practically knocked down by four deer running past me up the hill . I was so startled that I froze . One of the deer turned it's head and gave me a stare that clearly told me to get out of the way and watch where I was going. Big ,beautiful ,warm brown eyes. They were leaping much too rapidly for me to gain my composure and take a picture with my camera. It all happened in a matter of seconds.
As I stayed in the moment I became aware of the symphony of frogs singing in the nearby pond. It was mating season. Nature....Life, was renewing itself all around me. I was part of it. I was right there in the middle of it.
The beating of a large drum summoned me back to my colleagues at the house. I was excited and ran part of the way eager to relate my experience to the others, only to discover that were no words to describe it...........until till now.
I will always be grateful to Virginia and Steven  for inviting us to experience these things. The beauty of nature renewing itself. For a big city girl like me ,it was and still is, an incredible journey.

Till soon my dears

You have to live it!

I love creating magical stories about mine and others adventures. The joy of writing your story as a faerie tale is all the magic and creativity it brings to you.

As you visualize the characters and the venues and the journey the story brings, the thrill and the excitement of finding where the story is leading you brings such wonder. The possibilities that show up around every corner are astounding!

What we tend to forget as we create and listen to these stories is that we have to live them! Live what you dream and create! That's why it showed up!

The original faerie tales were actually a compilation of stories that were told in many different villages and  cultures. Each one was told differently but had the same theme and the same message to deliver. When you notice that, it hits you that these stories were not made up. People had actually experienced them and lived them and told their experiences as stories for others to know and believe that anything is possible.

As many of you travelers know, all of my stories are based upon real people, actual situations and experiences. I just create the characters and venues to be more colorful in order to reflect the essence of what the characters are like and what is going on.

When I talk to clients about writing their story as a faerie tale they often say that they are not that creative.
We then allow the characters and story to appear through the feelings and colors and pictures that come to mind as they describe what is going on . Their inner wisdom and creativity come alive and take over and the story becomes magical. The solutions appear and lead the story to the place of happily ever after.....or not.

Wherever the story goes, we must act upon it and live it out. It is always for our safety, well being and our highest good!!

Till soon, my dears.

What You Resist Will Persist

Greetings on this lovely spring day!

This morning as I was waking up with my first cup of coffee I was musing about an opportunity that has appeared for my coaching. This opportunity has come before a few times and I resisted it. It wasn't exactly what I had been dreaming about what my coaching practice would look like. It wasn't as creative and as out of the box as I "wanted" it to be.
But you know, apparently my body, mind and spirit just haven't been in alignment for me to manifest it the "way I WANTED it to be!"
I have been very rigid and resistant to everyone who suggested anything other than what I "wanted". And so I have wandered hither and yon seeking the right place, the right venue and the right clients.
In the meantime my coaching, my level of intuition and ,yes, my consciousness have been stretched and have grown .
My daily meditation practice has allowed me to listen beyond the noise of everyday life. When I am not able to settle in a place to meditate, I notice the difference. It changes my perspective.
In today's world listening is not easy. Everything and everyone goes zooming by at lightening speed.

Imagine that you could take a snapshot of everything that is going on around you this moment.
Pull the picture up on the computer screen and examine every square inch of the photograph. What do you see? Can you hear any of the sounds and noises that were there?
These are all of the things that we block out because we are focusing on something else.

When we resist suggestions or ideas or opportunities that come to us everyday, it is like blocking out everything that is going on around us.

Now let's imagine that we take another picture of the same place we took the previous picture and take a look at it. Has anything changed?

I discovered today that by resisting the opportunities that kept  showing up , my situation remained the same. I was coaching and my practice was growing , but very slowly and the strain did not really allow me to enjoy my work  .
There is a faerie card called, The Captive Man. This card asks us if we are allowing ourselves to be held captive emotionally by someone else or if we are holding someone else captive or holding on to an idea too tightly. If so then we must release them. By releasing w thought or a person from captivity, we give it the space to truly become what it needs to be and we often find that it stays with us.

This struck me right away and I began to wonder if I was holding on to my idea too tightly. So I released it and am listening.

As I look at the imaginary photos of  past opportunities I am beginning to see the possibilities  slightly out of focus in the background.

That's funny. Why didn't I ever notice them before?

Enjoy the beauty of this day! Till soon.

What do you seek?

Many of you may know that I post a reading each day of the Heart of the Faerie Oracle cards, by Brian Froud , on my other blog: Faerie Wisdom with Your Morning Coffee.

Today's faerie ,The Question, came for a visit and she has inspired me to write about what it is we seek.

We get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget.

How would you react right now in the present moment if a newspaper or TV reporter came up to you and asked," Why are you here? What are you seeking? What are you looking for? "

I often get a "dear in the headlights" reaction from clients when I ask them that question. It centers us and allows us to come out of the busy maze, quiets the noise in our head and puts us in a very different place. Doesn't it?

Suddenly we become aware of ourselves and where we are and what is going on all around us.

What brought us to where we are right now ,in this moment? How did we get here? The answer is not by car or bus or train. Are we aware of all the choices and decisions we have made that has brought us to the present moment?

The faerie, The Question, Is very large and looms over the travelers on the path through Faerie.
If you are traveling there, you are bound to meet her. Her heart is open and a rainbow bursts forth out of it. A river of knowledge flows from the top of her head. The artist, Brian Froud, has given us all the tools we need in the painting to answer the question.Go to your heart and stand beneath the waterfall of the river of knowledge.

So in today's story, picture yourself being stopped by this huge reporter as you are walking down the street. What will your answer be?

Till soon my dears.

Creative Expression

Greetings fellow travelers!!
I have decided to re-post this posting from last July.
I have recently moved and now that I am coming out of my post moving coma, and the dust us settling I was feeling the need for inspiration and re-read this. A huge warm feeling came over my heart chakra. It was magic. Enjoy !!!!

THIS is a picture of one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen. It is a rainbow going over Diamond Head mountain on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. When I was working there in 2208-9, I was awe- struck by the rainbows that appeared almost every day all over of the island.

I have a whole series of pictures that I took of rainbows while I was there. Each one was unique and each one inspired me to continue to express myself creatively with my camera. I have made several slideshows with these pictures and added music to each one for meditation. It wasn't hard and it fed my soul each time I would put one together.

We often don't allow ourselves to express ourselves creatively because we may not have been conditioned early in life to think that this is a necessary part of who we are. It allows our very essence to express itself and feeds us at the same time. Art, music, sculpture, dance, are all things we did as children. We drew with crayons and pencils, painted with watercolors and made sculptures with playdoe and clay. We made collages with glue and anything we could find on a walk through the woods. And all the while we sang and hummed and danced around the yard or the family room. We banged drums, blew whistles, played harmonicas, blew bubbles and flew paper airplanes. We created sandcastles on the beach and snowmen and snow forts in the snow.

Look at how creative we were when we were children ! Aren't we the same person now??

Who or what made us think that being creative was just for kids?? That we weren't capable of creating? That all that was just for kids??

As I continue to perservere in my coaching and challenging my clients to write stories and create metaphors to discover who they are, people still tell me that they aren't creative enough and wouldn't know how to write or tell a story. However when I give them permission to do whatever they want, there are no boundaries, no limitations and anything is possible, we are always astounded at what appears.

We describe fear as dark scary places where we will be eaten by monsters, but our bed blankets have magical powers to make us invisible and so we can get to the beautiful valley safely and no one was able to see us.

Give your self permission to have fun with your crayons and clay !! Beat the drum in the backyard and dance around the flower beds and see what comes up for you !! It is your essence sending messages about who you really are and what you love to do. !!

Be brave like Dorothy and fly over the rainbow to see what is there !!!!

A new story

GREETINGS FELLOW TRAVELERS !!

It has been a while. I have been very busy, coaching, tending to friends and family and having some new and exciting adventures.
Lately, I have had some new experiences coaching and consulting in the healthcare venue, which have inspired me to see many of the events as faerie tales.

So sit back relax and allow yourself to be inspired by the latest adventure with Firenze.
Please comment with your inspirations.

THE LITTLE HOSPITAL THAT TIME FORGOT

A Faerie Tale by Firenze

Once upon a time there was a little hospital nestled on a hill in a land surrounded by snow covered mountains that were often hidden by low lying clouds. The mountains and the hills were covered with tall fir trees, dense forests and streams bursting with fish that would leap out of the water.
The little hospital loved the small village on in the hillsthat they served and the peaceful existence they enjoyed.
The passing years brought many changes in the world around them. These changes threatened their peaceful existence. They wondered what they could do to maintain their way of life.
The elders and leaders of the hospital held several meetings about what they could do. One day, the head of the leadership council came and told the others that he had met an old witch in the forest who told him that she had the power to cast a spell that would cover the hospital with a cloud of invisibility. This would allow them to remain just as they were and be untouched by any changes in the world around them.
The council brought the old witch before them and they struck an agreement. The witch would cast the spell if they would relinquish their power to her to make important decisions and not question her knowledge or authority in any way. “ Only I will speak to the authorities that govern the laws.,” she said.
“You must do as I command and you will remain unchanged.”, she commanded. The council agreed.
With that the old witch cackled and cast the spell. The cloud of invisibility covered the hospital immediately and kept them unchanged for many years.
The changes got faster and faster as the years went by. They were so fast that the council had no idea how drastically things had evolved over a short period of time.
The old witch became so confident in her power; she became lazy, overweight and very dependent upon others to do her biding without questioning her knowledge and authority. As a result the cloud of invisibility became weaker and weaker until one day the authorities from the outside world appeared with out warning. They demanded that the hospital demonstrate the changes that had occurred while they were cloaked in invisibility.
The council immediately brought the wicked witch before them and demanded that she cast another spell to send the authorities away.
Because she had become so lazy and over confident, the old witch found that she no longer had the power to cast a spell to make the authorities go away. Everyone, including the old witch, panicked and became frightened and began to cry desperately for help.
The old witch appealed to her sister witches, but they scattered to the far corners of the universe. They did not wish to be blamed for the old witches folly.
Far, far away in the land of the great prairie, the good witch, Firenze, heard the desperate cries for help. Her heart was touched. She decided to pack her bags and immediately flew across the great prairie and the large canyons to the land of the great mountains to come to their aide.
When Firenze arrived at the little hospital, the wicked old witch threw up and invisible wall around herself. She demanded to be left alone and did not allow the good witch to enter the hospital.
Being much more cleaver than the Old Witch, Firenze used her powers of shape shifting and entered the hospital unnoticed in order to help the council of the little hospital.
The wicked Old Witch was fooled into thinking that Firenze was a captive in a small room where the wicked witch thought she was keeping Firenze away from everyone, by giving her menial tasks .
Instead, Firenze would appear in meetings and departments to teach everyone how to become compliant with the new laws and regulations.
Gradually the leaders and the Council became stronger, and began to question the Old Witch. They became aware of their fate if they continued to relinquish their authority to her.
The council approached Firenze and begged her to cast a spell to make the Wicked Old Witch to go away permanently.
Firenze explained to them that her magic was limited to guiding the council to become aware of what was going on around them.
“Only you have the power to banish the Wicked Old Witch and save yourselves”, she said.
The little hospital’s council was shocked and surprised. They realized that they were the one’s who had entered into the agreement with the witch, so it was now only up to them to break the agreement and accept the changes that come with time.
The leaders thanked Firenze and bid her a fond farewell. As she left, she told them to be careful what they wished for and to be very careful about whom they entered into agreements with. “Remember, you have the power to do everything yourselves that changes and time bring to your life. You have the power se the benefits that change brings for the good . Blend them into your peaceful existence for everyone’s good.” And “POOF” she was gone.

The Council of the Little Hospital agreed that they would do their best to live peacefully ever after by improving their attitude toward change and finding the benefits it can bring.

Not The End.
